Terms and Conditions for Munro Bakes

By placing an order with Munro Bakes, you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to these terms and conditions;

1. Introduction

1.1. These terms and conditions govern your use of Munro Bakes' baking services and products.

1.2. By placing an order with Munro Bakes, you agree to comply with and be bound by these terms.

2. Orders and Payments

2.1. All orders with Munro Bakes are subject to availability and acceptance. 

2.2. Any prices on the Munro Bakes website are as stated and are subject to change without notice. 

2.3. Payment must be made in full at least 28 days before your wedding before Munro Bakes processes the order.

2.4. A non-refundable booking fee (deposit) is required to secure an order and reserve the event date. The booking fee represents a genuine pre-estimate of administrative costs and loss of business incurred by Munro Bakes and is therefore non-refundable in all circumstances, including cancellation by the client.

2.5. A date cannot be held in Munro Bakes' diary until a deposit has been received.

2.6. A wedding booking is not confirmed until a signed contract has been returned confirming that all details stated are correct and as discussed.

3. Cancellation and Refunds

3.1. Munro Bakes allows order cancellations with a full refund up to 28 days before the scheduled delivery/pickup time.

3.2. Cancellations made within 28 days of the scheduled time are non-refundable. 

3.3. Refunds, if applicable, from Munro Bakes will be processed within 14 days.

4. Delivery

4.1. Munro Bakes delivers to the address specified at the time of order. It is the buyers responsibility to ensure that this information is correct before returning a signed contract.

4.2. Delivery charges are outlined during the ordering process on the buyer's contractual agreement.

4.3. Munro Bakes is not liable for delays beyond its control, such as weather conditions, traffic, or accidents.

4.4. Delivery is available for celebration cakes at an additional fee.

5. Quality and Allergen Information

5.1. While Munro Bakes takes every effort to ensure the quality of its products, specific results cannot be guaranteed, as baking is influenced by various factors.

5.2. Allergen information is provided on Munro Bakes' website, and customers are responsible for reviewing it to ensure their safety. Allergen queries should be made before any contracts are signed and returned, or monies exchanged.

6. Custom Orders

6.1. Custom orders from Munro Bakes require a minimum notice period of 28 days.

6.2. Custom orders made within 28 days of the event will incur a late fee.

6.3. Changes to custom orders within 28 days of the event will incur additional charges.

6.4. All cakes created by Munro Bakes are classified as custom orders as all cakes are original pieces.

6.5. Designs by other bakers cannot be replicated, but can be used as inspiration.

7. Hireable Items

7.1. Munro Bakes offers hire services, subject to availability. 

7.2. Customers must return all hire items to Munro Bakes within three days after the event date, or as otherwise specified in the agreement. 

7.3. A security deposit of £100 will be required for all hire items, and this will be refunded upon the timely return of hire items in good condition. 

7.4. Damages to hire items will result in the forfeiture of the security deposit in full.

8. Complaints

8.1. Munro Bakes values customer feedback. In the event of any complaints, please contact Munro Bakes within 24 hours of receiving your order. 

8.2. Complaints regarding product quality or delivery issues will be thoroughly investigated by Munro Bakes, and appropriate actions will be taken.

8.3. Munro Bakes reserves the right to make the final decision on the outcome of any complaints.

9. Intellectual Property

9.1. All content on Munro Bakes' website, including images and text, is the intellectual property of Munro Bakes and may not be used without permission.

10. Damages

10.1. Munro Bakes is not liable for any damage to personal goods or property that may occur during the delivery, setup, or consumption of its products.

10.2. Customers are advised to handle Munro Bakes' products with care, and Munro Bakes is not responsible for any damages incurred after the products are delivered or picked up.

10.3. Once the product has been exchanged with the buyer, the buyer has full responsibility of its safe handling.

11. Validity of Quotes

11.1. Quotes provided by Munro Bakes are valid for a period of 28 days from the date of issuance.

11.2. After the 28 day period, Munro Bakes reserves the right to adjust prices based on current market conditions.

12. Privacy Policy

12.1. Munro Bakes respects your privacy. Its privacy policy outlines how Munro Bakes collects, uses, and protects your personal information.

13. Liability

13.1. Munro Bakes' liability is limited to the cost of the product or service purchased. 

13.2. Munro Bakes is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages.

14. Governing Law

14.1. These terms and conditions for Munro Bakes are governed by English common law.

16. Force Majeure

16.1. Munro Bakes shall not be held liable for any failure or delay in performing its obligations under these terms and conditions where such failure or delay is caused by events or circumstances beyond its reasonable control.

16.2. Such events may include, but are not limited to: acts of God; extreme weather conditions; fire, flood, drought, or other natural disasters; epidemic or pandemic; war, terrorism, civil unrest or riots; government restrictions or guidance; power failure; interruption to utilities or transport networks; venue closure; supplier or ingredient shortages; or serious illness, injury, or death of Munro Bakes or an immediate family member.

16.3. In the event of a Force Majeure occurrence, Munro Bakes will make reasonable efforts to notify the buyer as soon as practicable and, where possible, to offer an alternative solution. This may include rescheduling, sourcing a suitable replacement, or providing a refund for services not yet delivered, excluding any non-recoverable costs already incurred.

16.4. No compensation shall be payable for any loss, damage, or inconvenience arising as a result of a Force Majeure event.
